Centers for Independent Living

Centers for Independent Living (CIL) are community-based, non-profit agencies designed and operated within a community by persons with disabilities and provides various independent living resources. 

Paris, TN - T.A.R.P provides advocacy support,  independent living skills training, peer support, and transition services to persons with disabilities. They provide services to the following counties: Benton, Dickson, Henry, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, Stewart, Weakley 

Jackson, TN - The Jackson CIL offers supports in advocacy, ​skills training, peer counseling, equipment resources, referral info, transition services, Deaf and hard of hearing services, and home modifications for persons with disabilities. They offer services to the following counties: Madison, Crockett, Gibson, Carroll, Henderson, Chester, Haywood, Hardin

Memphis, TN - The Memphis CIL provides services in technology, advocacy, ​skills training, peer supports,  referral info, transition services, and accessible housing for individuals with disabilities. They support ounties supported: Shelby

Nashville, TN - Empower TN offers supports in technology, Braille, advocacy, employment, peer support, accessibility, and transition services for persons with disabilities. They also serve the following counties: Cheatham, Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Wilson, Williamson.

Knoxville, TN - disABILITY serves Knox county and provides services in transition, employment, housing, advocacy, and ​independent living skills training among others for people with disabilities.

Tri-State Resource and Advocacy Corp (TRAC) 

Chattanooga, TN - TRAC offers supports in advocacy training, ​job readiness training, peer supports, and transition services. They also support the following counties: Bledsoe, Bradley, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Polk, Rhea, and Sequatchie.
